The physician is permanently precluded from prescribing, dispensing or administering controlled substances/hypnotics, central nervous system stimulants or psychotherapeutic agents. The physician must refer patients who are currently being treated with these medications and/or in need of such treatment to an appropriate physician who is not affiliated with him. The physician must also create a plan which would ensure the security of his prescription pads. Later on August 28, 2013 the physician permanently surrendered his New York State medical license.
