Medical Board Misconduct DescriptionThe New York State Education Department on March 8, 2010 stayed the revocation of the physician's medical license and placed the physician on probation for five years. Previously the Review Board had sustained the Hearing Committee's April 13, 2001 penalty and determination finding the physician guilty of negligence on more than one occasion; gross negligence; practicing fraudulently and failing to maintain accurate records. The Review Board had also sustained the charge of engaging in conduct which evidences moral unfitness and fined the physician $40,000. On January 2, 2003 the New York State Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Third Department, had confirmed the penalty imposed by the Hearing Committee and Review Board.
